UNG Athletics Unveils Rebranded Website
Dahlonega, Ga. – The University of North Georgia Department of Athletics, in partnership with PrestoSports, is proud to announce the re-launch of its athletics website, UNGAthletics.com featuring a completely rebranding layout and updated content. The release is in conjunction with the UNG Athletics Media Day Golf Outing at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega where members representing over 10 northeast Georgia media outlets will participate in a lunch and golf outing with members of the UNG Athletics coaching staff and administration.
The new website offers a new viewer-friendly navigation system to maintain content previously available to Nighthawk fans, including rosters, schedules, stats, news, and historical information, as well as better opportunities to showcase video and photos of student-athletes and teams.

"UNGAthletics.com accurately reflects the new Nighthawk image and provides our fans with a comprehensive location for everything regarding our teams and programs. The new site truly serves as a landing point for our alumni, athletes, parents and fans.”

The upgrades extend well beyond the new look of the site, however, as videos can now be played straight from the headlines and enhanced box scores can be viewed within game recaps. Other features include completely revamped bio, news, roster, and schedule pages that can be quickly accessed from the top of the main page. UNG’s social media integration is much more visible as fans can engage through Twitter, Facebook and YouTube at the top of the website.
Additional enhancements include totally revamped and updated general content that gives viewers a complete view of UNG Athletics. The Nighthawk Sports Network was added that will give fans not able to make home contests an interactive interface of live statistics and live HD video with graphics for all UNG athletic events.
A new feature will be the Nighthawk Spotlight, which will serve as a weekly all-access question and answer segment with student-athletes, coaches and staff.
Nighthawk fans will also be able to follow UNG athletics better on their mobile devices with the launching of a brand new mobile version of UNGAthletics.com. The mobile site is programmed to be responsive to the user’s browser setting and will feature the same information and design on both smart phones and tablets.
“In conjunction with our recent institutional rebranding, we are very excited about the redesign of UNGAthletics.com and all of the new and interactive features that the site offers,” stated Lee Glenn, UNG Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. “The UNG audience is growing, and we want to be able to reach that audience in a variety of ways. The new site allows us to quickly, and easily engage our audience on a number of platforms, offering more live coverage, social media and enhanced video options."
