Baseball’s Weekend Schedule Altered, Sunday’s Game Moved to Friday
DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The University of North Georgia baseball team's final three-game Peach Belt Conference series of the season has been altered due to the threat of inclement weather scheduled to be in the Dahlonega area this weekend.
The Saints were originally scheduled to play Saturday and Sunday, but will now start the series with Georgia College with a single game on Friday, May 3. Friday's game will commence at 7:00 p.m. and will also serve as "Senior Night" where UNG will recognize the three seniors from the squad: Kenny Bellavance, Derek Hooper and Brett Wright.
Friday night, UNG will also recognize those players on the baseball team who have earned the Student-Athlete Academic award by maintaining a 3.2 grade point average while competing in intercollegiate sports.
Saturday's doubleheader is still scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Bob Stein Stadium.
