Saints Basketball Receives Votes in Latest Poll

NABC DII Poll

DAHLONEGA, GA
– The North Georgia College & State University men’s basketball team received six votes in the latest NABC/Division II Men’s Basketball Poll released Tuesday afternoon.

The weekly poll is conducted by eight members of the NABC Division II Congress, one representing each of the eight NCAA Division II regions.

North Georgia is currently 5-1 with their only loss coming to PBC rival Francis Marion on both team’s conference opener.

The Saints latest contest sent them to Anderson University where they cruised out to a 21-point halftime lead before holding off the Trojans 88-73.

North Georgia will break for the holidays before hosting Carson-Newman (4-7) on New Years Eve at 4:00 p.m. in their final non-conference match up.

The Saints are currently the third-ranked Peach Belt team in the poll as USC Aiken is ranked 2nd in the nation and Augusta fell out of the top five after their first loss of the season and come in at #10. Head Coach Chris Faulker’s squad is searching for their first national ranking since entering the NCAA four seasons ago.
