Saints Finish Third at Matt Dyas Invite

CARROLTON, Ga. – The North Georgia College & State University men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of their 2012-13 season Tuesday with a strong third place finish in the Matt Dyas Invitational hosted by the University of West Georgia at the Oak Mountain Golf Club.

The Saints finished with a team stroke count of 928, 22 strokes behind winner Clayton State University and 16 back from West Georgia in second. 

Sophomore Aaron George finished the tournament in a tie for third after entering the final round in the lead. He carded an 81 in Tuesday's round to give him a 226 for the three rounds.

Zach Caldwell carded the team's best score of the day with a 78 to finish with a 231 in a tie for 11th, just two strokes ahead of Will McFarlin who carded a 79 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 13th with a 233.

Grant Rish and Will Brackett rounded out the scoring for the Saints with a 240 and 246 respecitvely. Rish finished in a tie for 28th while Brackett ended his time in the invitational in 40th.
