Contact: Steve Cunha,

DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia men's tennis team remained perfect at home on Saturday as they raced past Erskine 8-1 at the North Georgia Tennis Complex.

The win was the second straight for the Saints (9-2) over the Flying Fleet (3-7).  The Saints ran their home winning streak to four and this is the fastest North Georgia has ever recorded nine wins and they re just one shy of tying last year's total of 10 wins just one month into the season.

North Georgia continued their dominant play in doubles taking all three matches. The duos of Felipe Friedrich/Mateus Camasmie and Brandon Sloan/Sam Gannt cruised to easy 8-0 victories, while Rodrigo Magan and Matheus Guida held on for an 8-6 win.

With the sweep in doubles action the Saints improve to 24-9 in doubles play, surrendering more than one point in doubles just twice in their 11 contests.

In singles action the Saints won all five of their matches in straight, dropping only the match at no. 3 singles in three sets.

The Saints look to run their home winning streak to five on Sunday, March 18, when they host Augusta State in Peach Belt Conference action. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
