DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia men's tennis team ran their winning streak to four matches on Tuesday afternoon as they raced past Brevard 7-2 in non-conference action at the North Georgia Tennis Complex.

The Saints (11-2) remain perfect at home this season, running their record to 5-0 with the win, while Brevard (6-8) dropped their third consecutive match.

The Saints continue to impress this spring, setting school records as they go. With the win, North Georgia eclipses the previous school record for wins in a season (10) since joining the NCAA Division II ranks in 2006.

North Georgia continued their dominance in doubles action taking two of the three matches. The duo of Matheus Guida and Rodrigo Magan cruised to an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Brandon Sloan and Giovani Santos came back from an early 2-0 deficit to score eight straight points and run away with the match at No. 3 doubles.

The strong start in doubles carried over into singles for the Saints as they won five of the six matches.

Felipe Friedrich took down defending South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week Sam McNeil in straight sets at No. 1 singles, while Magan, Sloan, Santos and Ernesto Farinas followed suit and took their matches in straight sets as well.

The Saints return to the courts on Wednesday, March 21, when they travel to Young Harris for non-conference action. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
