CHARLESTON, SC - The North Georgia rifle team turned in a strong performance to open the second half of the season at The Citadel in Southeastern Air Rifle Competition action.

Despite the loss of their top-shooter Matt Parsons for the rest of the season, the Saints shooters stepped up, with freshman Cadet Luke Duncan leading the team with a fifth place individual ranking.

Duncan was followed by fellow freshman Cadet Chris Tiller. Seniors Jason Crawford and team Captain Becca Bryan also had a good showing at SEARC 5.

In the conference team competition, a very strong NC State team, currently ranked No. 20, led the rankings, followed by The Citadel, with North Georgia hot on their heels for third. Well behind the Saints were Clemson, Wofford, and Georgia Military.

In NCAA action, NC State and the men's team from The Citadel lead the team standings, with North Georgia in third by a razor thin margin.

Following the Saints were the women's team from Citadel, Clemson, and Wofford.

The Saints return to action in a home match against Columbus State University on Saturday February 4th.
