North Georgia Rifle Competes in Final Regular Season Match, Championship Next

DAHLONEGA, GA – The Saints rifle team competed in the final regular season Southeastern Rifle League tournament match hosted by The Citadel this past weekend at the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
North Georgia shot a 2235 but fell behind No. 17-ranked NC State (2280) and a surging Citadel team (2263) to take a third place finish, while besting Clemson, Georgia Military College, and Wofford.
In NCAA competition, the Saints team finished ahead of the Citadel women and Wofford shooting a 2235 as well.
Individually, North Georgia freshman Cadet Luke Duncan fired a personal record 573, just seven points shy of the current school record, to tie for third place.
The team score of 2235 was within 11 points of the current school record of 2246.
The Saints return to action on Saturday, March 3, when they compete for the league championship, hosted at The Citadel.
