DAHLONEGA, GA – Nearly nine months after their third straight trip to the NCAA Division II College World Series, the North Georgia softball team received their championship rings in a ceremony Monday evening in Memorial Hall.

The North Georgia softball team has become quite accustomed to ring ceremonies over the years and Monday night was no exception, as the Saints were awarded their third straight championship ring during a PBC basketball doubleheader against Francis Marion.

North Georgia President Dr. Bonita Jacobs and Director of Athletics Lindsay Reeves presented the rings to a squad that produced the most wins in school history (53), captured the PBC regular season and tournament championships and made a third straight trip to the NCAA Division II College World Series.

The Saints begin their quest for an unprecedented fourth straight Peach Belt Conference Championship next month when they open the season at home for the NGCSU Loyal Blue Classic, welcoming Tusculum College, North Greenville and Bellarmine University to town for the weekend tournament.
