The University of North Georgia Athletic Communications office, GLORY 1330 WGTJ and Stretch Internet are excited to announce a continued partnership for the 2013-14 basketball season that will keep the Nighthawks on the airwaves both at home and away games.  The agreement will cover 35 regular-season contests as well as the Peach Belt Conference tournament and will allow fans to listen to games live or on-demand through the website archives.

“The UNG Nighthawk Radio Network is a strategic step in our department's effort to combine great audio coverage for Nighthawk fans with the best promotional opportunities for our men’s and women’s basketball teams," said UNG Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Lee Glenn. “We believe these two partnerships represent the best overall platforms for Nighthawk sports fans and will serve as a great compliment to our multi-camera live video and live statistics offerings already in place.”

Milton Martin Honda of Gainesville will serve as the UNG Radio Network's title sponsor and will provide the radio crew with a complimentary loaner vehicle to carry the crew and equipment to the six Peach Belt Conference venues.  Milton Martin Honda is a proud supporter of numerous local programs including the University of North Georgia Department of Athletics.

Glory 1330’s audio will overlay over the top of the Nighthawk Vision’s three-camera live video production providing UNG fans with a full-scale live production of home games.  Immediately following each contest, games will be archived onto the Nighthawk Vision page.

Drew Harris and Mike Wofford, a 1979 graduate of North Georgia, will broadcast home games live from Memorial Hall beginning with on December 7 when the UNG women’s basketball team hosts Lee University at 3:00 PM.  In addition to the live video, Glory 1330’s audio feed and archives can be found at Glory1330.com.

The second part of the UNG Nighthawk Radio Network features coverage of most of North Georgia’s Peach Belt Conference road games.  Craig Corbin, the official voice of UNG Basketball, will lead the broadcast which will feature a 30 minute pregame show prior to each PBC women’s tip off as well as post-game interviews with coaches and players.  Corbin, who also serves as the Voice of the Nighthawks as public address announcer at all home games in Memorial Hall, will be joined by color analyst Glenn, a nine-year college basketball head coaching veteran.  Road games will offer only an audio feed.

The UNG Basketball Radio show will feature 14 road games over seven dates, all of which are Peach Belt Conference doubleheaders.  The show will also be on site at the 2014 Peach Belt Conference tournament at the Lumpkin Center in Columbus, Ga. on March 6-8.

The road games will be broadcast courtesy of a new partnership with Stretch Internet.
