DAHLONEGA, GA - Freshman Pat Moynihan has been named the Moe’s Southwest Grill North Georgia Athlete of the Week after giving the Saints a spark in their final exhibition game of the year announced Monday morning by the Sports Information Office.

Coming off the bench for just his second collegiate game on Saturday evening, Moynihan jumped right into the middle of the North Georgia offense, scoring nine points and pulling down three rebounds on the road at Kennesaw State University. The redshirt freshman was 3-7 from the field, 1-3 from behind the arc, and a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line.

After seeing 21 minutes of action at the University of Georgia in the team’s exhibition opener, the Alpharetta, Ga., native came back late at the KSU Convocation Center, sparking a 23-8 North Georgia run to end the game.

Moynihan and the Saints will open their regular season Monday evening against Reinhardt College, and will continue with six games over the next 12 days.
