DAHLONEGA, GA – North Georgia College & State University’s Daniel Petitti received ABCA/Rawlings All-Southeast Region Gold Glove honors announced this afternoon by the Southeast Regional Representative.

Petitti picks up his second Gold Glove award after being named to the team at the conclusion of his freshman season. The Roswell, Ga., native committed just three errors during the 2009 season for a .992 fielding percentage. He threw out 21 base stealers, picked off 10 runners, and recorded a .563 stolen base against percentage. The junior had 51 assists and a team high 385 chances during the season.

The junior will now be eligible for National ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove honors which will be announced during the 2009 Division II College World Series next week.
