Saints Ranked for 7th Straight Week, Sit at No. 19
DAHLONEGA, GA
– For the seventh straight week the North Georgia baseball
team is ranked in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Division II Top
30 poll released on Monday afternoon, dropping four spots to No. 19
in the country.
The Saints are currently 27-13 overall and 13-8 in the Peach Belt
Conference after dropping two of three games over the weekend at
now 8th-ranked Francis Marion University.
Southern Arkansas is once again the nation’s top team at 35-3
overall, picking up 480 points and sit on top of the poll, while
Central Missouri is second, and Tampa and UC San Diego are tied for
the third spot in the ranking. Florida Southern rounds out the top
five at 34-5 on the year.
The Peach Belt Conference continues to represent in the poll as
Columbus State and Francis Marion are 7th and 8th respectively in
the ranking, while GCSU is 12th, and USC Aiken is 16th. Following
North Georgia at No. 19 is UNC Pembroke as the 21st-ranked team in
the land.
The Saints return to action over the weekend, traveling to Augusta
State University for North Georgia’s third straight road PBC
set. Jaguars and Saints will battle in a doubleheader on Saturday
before a single game on Sunday will cap the weekend series. Live
