DAHLONEGA, Ga. – On Tuesday, Mar. 12, the University of North Georgia Department of Athletics recognized Dr. Robb Sinn, a professor in the mathematics department, as the "2012-13 Outstanding Professor" at the Saints' home softball doubleheader against Belmont Abbey.

Dr. Sinn, who makes a point of attending many home events of all types cheering on the Saints, was recognized for making the classroom a fun learning environment where students and student-athletes alike look forward to going every day and for his outstanding teaching methods.

"Each year the entire student-athlete body nominates a professor(s) that has profoundly impacted their experiences while at North Georgia," stated Director of Athletics Lindsay Reeves. "We would like to congratulate and thank Robb Sinn for everything he has done for North Georgia and especially our student-athletes. He is very deserving of 2012-13 Outstanding Professor Award!"

Prior to the game, three student-athletes – baseball player Tremayne Toorie, women's basketball player Mimi Hill and softball player Katie Garrett – presented Dr. Sinn with a commemorative picture frame in a small ceremony. Each signed the commemorative frame with a message to Dr. Sinn about why he deserved the award.
