Saints Basketball Receives Votes in Latest Poll
NABC DII Poll
DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia College &
State University men’s basketball team received six votes in
the latest NABC/Division II Men’s Basketball Poll released
Tuesday afternoon.
The weekly poll is conducted by eight members of the NABC Division
II Congress, one representing each of the eight NCAA Division II
regions.
North Georgia is currently 5-1 with their only loss coming to PBC
rival Francis Marion on both team’s conference opener.
The Saints latest contest sent them to Anderson University where
they cruised out to a 21-point halftime lead before holding off the
Trojans 88-73.
North Georgia will break for the holidays before hosting
Carson-Newman (4-7) on New Years Eve at 4:00 p.m. in their final
non-conference match up.
The Saints are currently the third-ranked Peach Belt team in the
poll as USC Aiken is ranked 2nd in the nation and Augusta fell out
of the top five after their first loss of the season and come in at
#10. Head Coach Chris Faulker’s squad is searching for their
first national ranking since entering the NCAA four seasons ago.
