Saint Men Fall Just Short of Championship Berth as USCA Wins 88-85 in Overtime
COLUMBUS, Ga. – The University of North Georgia men's basketball team left it all out on the court Saturday night as the Saints made their first trip back to the semfinal round of the Marvin Vanover Peach Belt Conference Basketball Championships since 2008. However, the University of South Carolina Aiken Pacers were able to make just enough plays down the stretch and in overtime to aquire the 88-85 win.

North Georgia Bounces Back to Best Armstrong 77-75 with Strong Second Half in PBC Quarterfinals
COLUMBUS, Ga. – The University of North Georgia men's basketball team, a team known for its three-point prowess, hit only one three-pointer Friday afternoon, but it came when it was needed most: in the closing seconds of regulation to tie the game. The Saints fought back from a 14-point deficit at halftime to win by two, 77-75, over Armstrong Atlantic State University in the 2013 Marvin Vanover Peach Belt Conference Touranment quarterfinals.

Sophomore women's player Stephanie Huffman and men's players Travis Core and Robby Goldsmith were all named to the teams released by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of North Georgia men's basketball team split its pair of Peach Belt Conference cross division games last week, defeating Francis Marion University 1010-90 on Thursday, Feb. 14 and then falling 100-93 in overtime at the University of North Carolina Pembroke on Saturday. This week, the Saints will play their final two home games of the season, a Thursday 7:30 p.m. contest against Young Harris College and a Saturday 4:30 p.m. game against Lander University.

Behind a nearly 50% shooting performance from the field, North Georgia defeated Limestone 93-85 inside Timken Arena to close out their non-conference schedule.
