Nighthawks Finish In A Tie For 12th At Jay Jennison Memorial
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – (UNGAthletics.com) – The University of North Georgia men's golf team wrapped up play on Tuesday with a final round 305 and finished in a tie for 12th place at the Jay Jennison Memorial Tournament hosted by Flagler College. The Nighthawks' 303-300-305—908 was matched by Eckerd College's 36-hole total and finished a single shot ahead of fellow PBC member Young Harris College.
Flagler held on for the team title while Queens (N.C.) University's Alex Weare earned medalist honors with a 68-70-74—212 (-4).
UNG's Will Brackett led the way for the Nighthawks with a three-over-par 74-72-73—219 which was good for a tie for 15th place out of 90 golfers. Teammate Michael Motz finished in a tie for 31st after registering a final round 75 (73-76-75—224).
Austin Booker (76) and Aaron George (81) rounded out North Georgia's final round scoring.
UNG returns to action in over a month when the Nighthawks wrap up the fall portion of their schedule at the Matt Dyas Invitational hosted by the University of West Georgia on October 28-29.
