HICKORY, North Carolina – (UNGAthletics.com) - The Lenoir-Rhyne University men's soccer team won its third straight match with a 2-0 victory over the University of North Georgia Wednesday afternoon at the Moretz Sports Athletic Complex.  L-R junior midfielder Ben Jones scored both goals early in the first half to lead the Bears to the victory.

Jones opened the scoring just 3:37 into the contest when he finished off a cross by junior defender Conor Doherty right in front of the net.  He scored again on a cross from the right side just before the 10-minute mark of the match.

L-R goalkeeper Stefan Dill earned his second shutout of the year for the Bears, who held an 18-14 advantage in shots taken on the evening.  Dill finished with two saves.

Kris Alonz picked up the loss in goal for North Georgia, who suffered its fifth straight setback since a season-opening overtime victory at Barry (FL) University.  Alonzo was credited with four saves on the day.
