Saints Dominate Erskine College for 9-0 Shutout

DUE WEST, SC – The North Georgia men's tennis team put a tough 5-4 loss at Georgia Southwestern behind them on Tuesday afternoon as they traveled to Erskine College and grounded the Flying Fleet 9-0 in non-conference action.

The Saints, ranked 18th in the latest ITA Southeast Region Poll, have now won three of their last four matches and improve to 9-10 on the season, while the Erskine falls to 2-14 on the year.

North Georgia got off to a hot start with a perfect sweep in doubles action, including Giovani Santos and Adrien Saulais who blanked Jack West and James Hoatson 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.

The Saints continued to dominate in singles play as five of the six matches were awarded to North Georgia is straight sets, while Saulais came out on top 2-6, 6-3, 10-1 over West to seal the 9-0 victory.

North Georgia returns to action on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Carson-Newman College to take on the Eagles in non-conference action. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.
