Saints Softball Up Two Spots to #9 in the Nation
DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia
softball team has moved up two spots to #9 in the latest National
Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll.
The Saints won their first six games and are 10-2 overall as they
prepare to host the Captain D’s Classic this weekend in
Dahlonega.
North Georgia has already taken down two ranked teams in Barry
University and Lewis University at the UAH Charger Chillout last
month.
The Saints are the second highest ranked team in the Peach Belt
Conference with Francis Marion coming in at #4, the only other team
in the league in the top 25.
North Georgia plays host to Catawba College and Barry University
this weekend in a pair of games before welcoming Columbia Union to
town on March 9, with a doubleheader set for 4:00 p.m. The Saints
open conference play March 12, opposing Augusta State for a pair of
games at 2:00 p.m.
