Saints Set to Depart ATL on Delta Flight 1163
ATLANTA, GA
– The top-ranked North Georgia softball team departed campus
Tuesday morning on their way to St. Joseph, Missouri, to compete in
the NCAA Division II National Championships.
The Saints, ranked No. 1 in the nation and the only undefeated
teams in the country, departed the North Georgia College &
State University campus Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m. and arrived at
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport at 7:45 a.m. to
local Atlanta tv stations waiting to speak with the team.
Head Coach Mike Davenport, freshman Katherine Martin, and senior
Jessica Skeels spoke with members of the media about the
team’s undefeated season, and the upcoming journey to the
program’s second straight World Series.
Fox 5 Atlanta and 11 Alive covered the departure and will feature
the team on the 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. news on Tuesday
evening.
North Georgia is set to depart Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta
International Airport at 10:45 a.m. on Delta flight 1163 en route
to Kansas City, Missouri.
