DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia Saints softball team jumped up two spots to No. 2 in the country in the latest NFCA Division II poll released on Wednesday afternoon.
After going 5-0 over the weekend in Spartanburg, South Carolina, North Georgia was recognized by the voters as again one of the top two teams in the country.
Taking part in the 2012 Mid-South Classic, the Saints knocked off Carson-Newman and then No. 22-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne. North Georgia also took down West Liberty, Catawba and Le Moyne.

Angelo State, Valdosta State and Cal State Dominguez Hills rounded out the top five.
The new rankings make the Captain D's Classic that much more exciting.
