Softball Doubleheader with North Greenville Moved to Wednesday
DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Tuesday afternoon's softball doubleheader between the 12th-ranked University of North Georgia Saints and North Greenville University has been moved back one day, to Wednesday, Feb. 20 due to the threat of rain.
The doubleheader with the Crusaders will still begin at 2:00 p.m. with the second game to start at around 4:00 p.m.
Following Wednesday's region matchup against the Crusaders of North Greenville, North Georgia will travel to Salisbury, N.C. for the Catawba Invitational. The tournament will last from Friday, Feb. 22 through Sunday, Feb. 24 with the Saints playing five games over that stretch.
The nationally-ranked Saints are currently in the midst of an eight game winning streak after going 5-0 this past weekend at the University of Alabama-Huntsville Charger Chillout held down in Decatur, Ala. In the tournament, the Saints defeated the University of West Alabama, the University of Charleston (WV), the University of West Georgia, Quincy University and UAH by a combined score of 40-10. The Saints run-ruled both Charleston and Quincy and recorded shutouts over Charleston and West Georgia.
