UNG Softball Assists With Habitat For Humanity In Lumpkin County
DAHLONEGA, Georgia – (UNGAthletics.com) – The University of North Georgia softball team aided Habitat for Humanity on October 26 by assisting with the clean up and construction of a home near the Lumpkin and Hall county line.
Head coach Mike Davenport's team was represented by nine players that helped with various construction projects around the property for five hours.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that believes every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. The organization builds and repairs houses all over the world using volunteer donations and labor. Habitat for Humanity families purchases these homes through non-profit, no-interest mortgage loans or innovative financing methods.
