Whitney Randolph Named Daktronics All-Region
DAHLONEGA, GA
– North Georgia College & State University women’s
basketball standout Whitney Randolph has been named to the
Daktronics All-Southeast Region team announced on Wednesday
afternoon.
A Peach Belt All-Conference First-Team selection for the second
straight year, Whitney Randolph was named the PBC Player of the
Week twice this season and was second in the Peach Belt Conference
at 17.8 points per game, while sitting third in rebounding at 9.6
boards per contest.
She had 12 double-doubles on the season, and was fourth in the
league in free throw percentage at 77.2 percent. She had a
season-high 32 points and 18 rebounds against Columbus State on
February 6, and scored in double digits in all but one PBC contest
this season.
Three other Peach Belt women’s basketball players were named
to the Daktronics All-Southeast Region team, including Columbus
State’s Phebe Smith and Francis Marion’s Shannon
Singleton-Bates who were named first team, while Clayton
State’s Teshymia Tillman was named second team.
First-team selections are eligible for All-America
consideration.
The Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Teams are
voted on by the sports information directors of the Southeast
Region. The region is comprised of the Conference Carolinas, the
Peach Belt Conference, the South Atlantic Conference, Chowan
University and North Greenville University.
The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world

virtually every sport at every level of competition.
