Lady Saints Round Out Field at Ann Rhoads Classic
CALERA, AL –
The North Georgia women’s golf team rounded out the field at
the 2010 Ann Rhoads Classic on Tuesday afternoon, coming in 11th
place in the Gold Division of 11 teams at the Timberline Golf
Club.
West Florida was the Gold Division winner, clearing the field by
10 shots with an 87-over-par 655, while Shorter College came in
second at 97-over-par, followed by West Georgia at 105-over-par.
North Georgia was 11th, rounding out the field at 33-over-par with
a 905.
Brittany Kemp was the high finisher for North Georgia, shooting a
92 on the opening day and following with a final round 84 to finish
in a tie for 24th place at 34-over-par.
Charley Whitmire finished alone in 44th place overall at
57-over-par for the tournament. The freshman fired a 105 in the
opening round and followed with a 94 to finish at 199 overall.
Courtney Hall and Leania Bulloch rounded out the field for the
Lady Saints, finishing in 53rd and 56th positions respectively at
92-over-par and 154-over par.
North Georgia returns to action next weekend at the St. Andrew
Invitational.
