Women's Golf Also Affected by Rain in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ga. – As was the case in Savannah, play on the golf links in Columbus, Ga. was affected in the TSYS Collegiate Classic with a delayed start preventing teams from completing the full first round of play.
The University of North Georgia women's golf team along with the other 10 teams participating commenced the tournament with a 3:00 p.m. shotgun start. Play is scheduled to be suspended at 6:00 p.m. due to darkness with the hopes of resuming tomorrow morning.
The tournament was originally slated to get underway at 8:30 a.m. but rain pushed back the start until the afternoon.
