Dahlonega, GA - North Georgia College & State University's Casey Smith has been named the Peach Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week after finishing the first weekend of the season with three goals and two assists.

The sophomore started the season with her first career hat trick against Erskine College, and added an assist for seven total points. Smith then came out against North Alabama and provided the game-winning assist in an overtime goal to down the Lions 2-1. Smith has already tripled her goal count from last season. Currently tied for the league lead in points with eight and the league lead in goals with three.

Smith will lead her team into the second weekend of the season as the Lady Saints will take on West Georgia Friday evening at the Soccer Complex before traveling to Newberry College to take on Barry College.
