DAHLONEGA, GA – For the first time in program history, the North Georgia women's soccer team has cracked the national rankings, rounding out the latest version of the NSCAA/HendrickCars.Com Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday afternoon.

Currently on an eight-game winning streak at 9-1 on the season, the Lady Saints are off to their best start in program history, and riding their longest winning streak since entering the NCAA five years ago.

Saint Rose of New York continues to top the Division II Poll at 10-0 on the year, while Central Missouri is up one spot to the No. 2 in the country and Columbus State drops to third after a win and a tie over the weekend.

Grand Valley State and California round out the top five at 9-1-1 and 10-0-1 respectively on the season, while PBC rival Armstrong Atlantic is up one spot to No. 8 in the country, still sitting undefeated at 6-0-2 on the season.

Florida Southern, North Georgia's latest victim in their eight-game winning streak, dropped two spots to No. 17 in the land. Belmont Abbey continues to be the only blemish on the Lady Saints' schedule this season as the 10-0 Scarlet and Grey are 16th in the country.

North Georgia is one of five new teams in this week's poll as Western Washington debuts at No. 9, Cal State Los Angeles is 15th, Midwestern State (Texas) is 21st, Northern Kentucky is 23rd, and the Lady Saints sneak into the poll as the 25th-ranked team in the nation.

In the latest NSCAA/HendrickCars.com Southeast Regional Ranking, North Georgia sits a tie for fourth place with UNC Pembroke. Columbus State tops the poll, followed by Armstrong Atlantic in second and Belmont Abbey in third.

The Lady Saints also have their presence felt in the latest edition of the NCAA National statistics released on Tuesday afternoon as senior Casey Smith leads the country in total assists with 11, and assists per game at 1.1. Samantha Abrahart finds herself in a slew of offensive categories, including 19th in the nation in points per game at 2.2, 20th in goals per game at 0.9, 14th in total goals with 9, and 13th in total points with 22. North Georgia is also listed in the team rankings with the 12th ranked scoring offense in the country, while sitting eighth in the win-loss-tie percentage at .900.

Chris Adams and the Lady Saints will put their first-ever ranking on the line Thursday afternoon, traveling to Anderson University for a 4:30 p.m. matchup with the Trojans in another key non-conference battle.
