DAHLONEGA, Ga. - In an effort to continue to recruit some of the best talent possible, the University of North Georgia men's and women's soccer teams are preparing to host the first of two prospect day camps on Saturday, May 4. KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The North Georgia College & State University women’s soccer team achieved another first this season as the Saints ended the 2012 campaign nationally-ranked for the first time in program history a ranking of 24th by the National Soccer Coaches of America Association.

Women’s Soccer Places Three on NSCAA All-Region Teams, Awarded National Academic Honor
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – For the second straight year the North Georgia College & State University women’s soccer team has placed a trio of players on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Contin All-Southeast Region team announced Tuesday. The 2011-12 team was also recognized for their efforts away from the soccer pitch with the NSCAA’s College Team Academic Award.

Taliaferro Earns Daktronics All-Region First Team Honors, Lee and Penston Named to Second Team
DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The North Georgia College & State University women’s soccer team has enjoyed a great run of success the past four seasons that has seen the program achieve a record of 55-18-6. Three of the players who have helped the program achieve that record, Cicely Taliaferro, Taylor Lee and Kelly Penston, were recognized Monday as members of the 2012 Daktronics All-Southeast Region teams.

Saints Fall 3-1 to No. 1 Pirates in NCAA Second Round for Second Year in a Row
SAVANNAH, Ga. – For the second season in a row, the North Georgia College & State University women's soccer team's season came to a close at the hands of Armstrong Atlantic State University. This season, the No. 1 Pirates bounced back from a 1-0 deficit to claim a 3-1 win over the Saints on their home field Saturday afternoon in the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament's second round.

Saints Advance to NCAA Second Round with 4-1 Win Over Wingate
SAVANNAH, Ga. – The North Georgia College & State University women's soccer team was in uncharted territory last season after they defeated Wingate University in the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament. The win was the program's first-ever NCAA tournament win and set up a matchup with Peach Belt Conference powerhouse Armstrong Atlantic State University where the Saints' 2011 season ultimately came to an end.

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The North Georgia College & State University women's soccer team will be feeling a sense of déjà vu this week. The Saints have played strong all season in hopes of making their second appearance in the NCAA Division II national tournament and it has paid off as they will begin the Southeast Regional as the No. 5 seed this week with a familiar opponent – No. 4 seeded Wingate University.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The North Georgia College & State University women's soccer team left it all on the field Friday evening as they came within six minutes of recording a 1-0 upset over No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic State University. But the top-seeded Pirates rallied with two late goals to knock the Saints out of the 2012 Peach Belt Conference Soccer Championships with a score of 2-1 at Blanchard Woods Park.

It marked head coach Chris Adams' 100th career win in his 10th season at the helm of the women's program.

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The North Georgia College & State University soccer teams will hold their annual “Senior Nightn and Academic Recognition Night” at the North Georgia Soccer Field on Saturday, Oct. 27 as part of a Peach Belt Conference soccer doubleheader with the University of South Carolina Aiken. The Saints will recognize 11 total seniors for their services to the two programs and will also award eight players who have excelled in the classroom.

Much closer than their last bout with a ranked opponent as the Saints went on to tie the Cougars 0-0 through two over time periods in Peach Belt Conference action.

In front of a large crowd of over 200 fans the Saints were able to clip the wings of the University of Montevallo Falcons with a 4-1 victory at the North Georgia Soccer Field.

Saints’ Bid for Upset Falls Just Short, No. 9 Pirates Hold on for 4-3 Overtime Win
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Last season came to an end for the North Georgia College & State University women's soccer team in the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament at the hands of Armstrong Atlantic State University. The Saints (8-2, 1-2 PBC) gave it everything they had Saturday afternoon as they attempted to avenge that 2-0 loss and came close – tying the game 3-3 in regulation – but it was not meant to be as the No. 9 Pirates (5-1-1, 3-0 PBC) found the go-ahead goal just two minutes into the first sudden death overtime to hold on for the 4-3 Peach Belt Conference victory.

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Six different players scored for the North Georgia College & State University women's soccer team as the Saints bounced back from their first loss of the season last weekend which dropped them out of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Continental Tire NCAA Division II National Poll. Whitley Dover led all scorers with two goals and an assist as the Saints defeated the Falcons of Pfeiffer University 7-1 Wednesday evening at the North Georgia Soccer Field.

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The North Georgia College & State women's soccer team continued their hot start to the 2012 season Sunday, proving that they will be a force to be reckoned with as the season continues as the Saints earned one of the biggest wins in program history. The Saints, ranked 20th in NCAA Division II by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), knocked off the 16th-ranked team in the nation, Rollins College, by a score of 1-0 to end their time in the West Florida Tournament.
