Women's Soccer Moves Up One Spot To Sixth In NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Rankings
NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Poll
KANSAS CITY, Kansas – (UNGAthletics.com) – The University of North Georgia women's soccer team moved up one spot and is now ranked sixth in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire NCAA Division II rankings. UNG's lone result was a decisive 4-2 Peach Belt Conference road win at Georgia College and propelled the Nighthawks up a single spot.
UNG is one of three PBC schools posting top-25 rankings joining Columbus State (#17) and Armstrong Atlantic State (#22). Grand Valley State (6-0-1) holds down the top for the third straight week.
The ranking is the second highest in the program's history after being ranked fifth in the NSCAA's week three poll last season. Head coach Chris Adams' squad is winner of six consecutive matches after dropping the season opener on September 6th to Florida Tech.
North Georgia returns to action tonight with a 6:00 non-conference kick off against the University of Alabama at Huntsville at the UNG Soccer Complex.
