DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia women's tennis team won their second straight match on Saturday afternoon, welcoming the University of West Alabama to town and defeating the Tigers 7-2 at Yahoola Creek Park in non-conference action.
North Georgia improves to 2-0 on the year, taking the program's home opener for the 2011 campaign, while West Alabama falls to 2-3 on the young season.
The Lady Saints got off to a fast start for the second straight match as Stasa Vujosevic and Laura Chapman swept away Angy Cuellar and Natalia Cardenas 8-0 at No. 1 doubles. Jordan Poole and Audrey Marlette captured an 8-2 win at No. 2, while Matilda Watson and Juliana Chiang grabbed a victory at No. 3 by the same margin.
