Women's Tennis Suspends Play with Clark-Atlanta Due to Weather, Lenoir-Rhyne Match Postponed as Well

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Due to inclement weather on Saturday afternoon, the University of North Georgia women's tennis match against Clark-Atlanta University was suspended midway through the doubles portion of the match.

The two teams agreed finish the match at a later date.

Because of the inclement weather that is expected to stick around, Sunday's men's and women's match against Lenoir-Rhyne University has also been postponed. The new date and times for both rematches will be announced next week.

Leading up to the postponement of Saturday's match, Natalia Escobar and Mathilde Baartvedt had claimed an 8-1 decision over Vanessa Jean-Baptiste and Brionne Bachus at No. 1 doubles.

The Saints' No. 2 doubles tandem of Cameron Williams and Adalyn Hazelman were leading V. Baysguena and Ivory Conley 5-1 while Mallory Kolts and Audrey Marlette were leading Kasey Dawson and A. Boyd 5-2 at No. 3 doubles when play was suspended.

When play is resumed, the teams will pick up where things were left off Saturday.
