Women’s Cross Country Prepared for NCAA Region Championships

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The North Georgia College & State University women's cross country team has one final meet for the 2012 season, and head coach Tom Williams has the women prepared for their toughest test to date.

The Saints are traveling to just outside Charlotte, N.C. where they will compete in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region Championship this Saturday, Nov. 3.

The program is in just its first year of competition since being dropped several years ago, but Williams has brought together a tough team that has continued to get better as the season has progressed.

Led by No. 1 runner and Peach Belt Conference All-Conference Second Team selection Emily Beusse, the Saints have continued to work hard and it has shown as eight runners knocked off time from their 6,000 meter times in the PBC Championships held two weeks ago.
