CULLOWHEE, NC – The North Georgia College
& State University Track & Field team competed at the
Western Carolina University Track & Field Invitational last
weekend with a trio of notable finishes for the men and women.
Savannah Bryce took third place in the 300-meter event, finishing
the race in 13:20.13, just behind Sewanee University’s Kendra
Tippens and Chessie MacRae. Courtney Cantrell was the top performer
in the discuss throw, winning the 18-person event with a throw of
36.45 meters.
On the men’s side, Dillon Bowers finished second in the pole
vault, clearing 4.50 meters to finish behind Mike O’Steen of
Western Carolina at 4.65 meters.
